Make sure that your gas stove is safe by removing the gas regulator and turning off your stove. Always double-check before leaving for your trip.

- Unplug your electronic devices

Disconnect all electric devices from the socket. This includes your air conditioner, fridge, rice cooker, water pump, internet, and television.

- Inform your neighborhood units and community units

It is advised to inform RT/RW administrators and security guards of your neighborhood about your trip, particularly how long you will be away and your cell phone number.

He then urged the public that if they see flames that could potentially cause a fire, they should immediately isolate by removing flammable items to prevent the spread.

He also suggests that every house should have a portable fire extinguisher (APAR) for the rapid response to early fire handling.

"During the Idulfitri holiday, we remain on standby to provide assistance to residents in need, whether related to fire management or other rescues," he added, Thursday (3/20).

As for information, the Jakarta Siaga 112 emergency service continues to operate 24 hours and is ready to serve the public if they experience or find an emergency that requires help.
